Patricia Guzman
Hi,
My name is Patty Guzman. I’m a special education teacher at Webster Elementary. I work with second and third graders in reading, writing, and math. I also work with students that have visual impairments in the district. I completed my teaching degree at Western Governor’s University and did my student teaching right here at Webster Elementary. I also, am a certified teacher of the blind and visually impaired.
I am a 1985 graduate of the Marshfield School District. I moved to Marshfield with my family during my sophomore year of high school and have lived in Marshfield ever since except for a brief time while I was away at college. Before moving to Marshfield I lived in Niangua, Missouri and Garden City, Kansas. I have worked in the Marshfield School District for almost 15 years. This is my 5th year as a teacher. Before I became a teacher I worked as a paraprofessional with individual students. I loved my work so much that I went back to school to complete my teaching degree. Now here I am! I love my work here at Webster and it is a joy to work with my students.
My family is very important to me. I am a mother of three great kids! I have one daughter in college going to school to become a teacher. I have a son who is a senior in high school this year, and one son that is in Shook Elementary. I also have two nephews that I help take care of, one that is a student at Webster Elementary.
