RETURN TO SCHOOL AGENDA
A. Orientation for Non-certified staff: To be held August 10, 2010. Meeting to be conducted by Alan
Thomas at a place and time to be announced.
B. New Teacher Academy: To be held on August 11 and August 12, 2010. Meetings to be conducted by Alan
Thomas at places and times to be announced.
C. Teacher Workdays August 16, 17, and 18, 2010, Calendar of Events.
I. Monday, August 16, 2010.
Workday begins at 8:00 a.m. and concludes for teachers at 3:30 p.m.
7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. - Breakfast in High School Cafeteria. (There may be vendor booths set up in the cafeteria.)
8:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. - All-Staff Meeting in the High School Auditorium.
10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - Workday in your rooms unless otherwise scheduled for meetings (consult your building
principal for such meetings).
1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. - Shook faculty meeting in the Shook library.
1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. - High School faculty meeting in the High School cafeteria.
5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – 6th grade orientation at Jr. High.
II. Tuesday, August 17, 2010.
Teacher workday begins at 8:00 a.m. and concludes at 3:30 p.m.
7:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. - Staff photos for ID badges, etc., will be taken in each individual building (consult your
building principal for additional information.) NOTE TO H.S. Faculty: Mr. Luebbert has
an extended photo session scheduled, please consult with the high school
principal’s office for times.
8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. - Junior High faculty meeting in Jr. High library.
10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - Coaches and Activities Sponsors (all MSHSAA related activities) will meet with the
Activities Director, Kevin Armstrong.
12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. – Special Education Staff Meeting for grades K-12 to be held in the Jr. High library. (This
will include all counselors.)
1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. -- At-Risk and Extension Center Staff Meeting at the Extension Center. (All counselors will
be released early from the Special Education meeting to attend this At Risk
meeting.)
5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – 7th and 8th grade Open House.
5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Sneak Peek at Hubble.
6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. – Sneak Peek at Webster.
6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – Sneak Peek at Shook.
III. Wednesday August 18, 2010.
8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. – Teacher Work Day
8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Webster Faculty meeting.
8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Hubble Faculty meeting.
8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Jay Day (Freshman Orientation) at the High School.
IV. Thursday August 19, 2010 - CLASSES BEGIN !!!!!
